Endowment History – The Steven Pundt Memorial Quick Printing Magazine Scholarship

The Steven Pundt Memorial Quick Printing Magazine Scholarship
Established in 1979

The Steven Pundt Memorial Scholarship was established in 1979 in memory of Steven Laurence Pundt. Steven was the first education Director of the National Association of Quick Printers and Quick Printing Magazine.

He died in an automobile accident in 1979, at the age of twenty-one. To continue his dedication to the graphic arts industry, this scholarship will financially assist students in four-year university graphic arts programs. Steven himself was a graduate of California State College and a recipient of a scholarship from PGSF.

The scholarship was established immediately upon Steven’s death in 1979 by his mother, Nancy Pundt, of Girard, PA, and Rob Schweiger, Steven’s employer at Quick Printing Magazine. Over the next fifteen years, funds were raised through the annual Quick Printing Magazine Man of the Year Annual Leadership Conference. By 1995, the scholarship had achieved permanent endowment status.
