Dscoop & The Foundation for Graphic Communication Education Announce New Grant Program

The FGCE and Dscoop, the exclusive community of HP Industrial Print and Large Format owners and users, first came together in 2025 to create the Dscoop Grant Program, designed to support students pursuing careers in graphic arts. We’re proud and excited to announce the 2027 edition, with selected students earning the opportunity to attend the Dscoop Edge Charlotte event, February 28–March 3, 2027.

Endowment History – MEGTEC Systems Scholarship

This scholarship was established by Roy Downham, Jack Eckelhart, and Jack Frost to assist with the education of the children of their employees. MEGTEC was formed in 1997 through the merger of MEG and TEC Systems. MEGTEC Systems designs and manufactures match and zero-speed splicers, air flotation drying systems, and other products for commercial and newspaper printing, web coating, flexible packaging, paper, tissue, and industrial finishing. Their primary goal is to deliver complete product and service solutions to all their customers.

Graphic Communications Education Association to Merge into The Foundation for Graphic Communication Education

The Graphic Communications Education Association (GCEA) today announced that it will formally merge into The Foundation for Graphic Communication Education (The FGCE, formerly PGSF). This strategic decision, following a unanimous vote of support from the GCEA membership at the recent annual conference and unanimous approval from the FGCE Board of Directors, marks a significant step in securing the long-term stability and growth of the organization’s shared mission.

The Foundation for Graphic Communication Education Awards over $130,000 in Grants

The FGCE changed the organization’s annual grant program for the 2025/26 school year, two separate application periods. From the combined Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 programs, 33 instructors received grants over $130000 in grants for travel, continuing education, and equipment.
