New Scholarship Funded by Graphic Arts Alliance

Pittsburgh, PA—The Print and Graphics Scholarship Foundation (PGSF) is pleased to announce that a new scholarship has been funded by Graphic Arts Alliance. The GAA Scholarship endowment will be initially funded at the Print Heritage endowment level of $25,000. The scholarship is being established by GAA in recognition of the organization’s concern with supporting the future workforce of the industry. GAA is headquartered in Philadelphia, but its member companies cover the entire United States. Since being founded in 2002, the organization has grown to become the leading purchasing group in the industry. Its 221 members provide a wide range of graphic communication services and products. “GAA is pleased to take a leadership position in creating this scholarship for young people interested in a career in the industry” stated CEO John Braceland.  “We have a number of members who feel this is an important issue and want to take an active role in enhancing the future workforce.” The GAA Scholarship will provide young students who are pursuing a course of study in the graphic arts with the opportunity to enhance their education. The offspring of employees of member companies will be given preference for consideration, thereby providing an enhanced company benefit. Graphic Arts Alliance was launched in 2002 to help mid-sized printing and packaging companies take advantage of an average of $12,000 annually in vendor cash rebates and discounts that would typically only be available to $100 Million companies.
